Part of integral team who coordinated interviews of midwifes, students and women in Debre Markos to gather primary data in order to assess the prevalence of disrespect and abuse against women giving birth in Ethiopia via Midwives and the effects the attitudes play in maternal fetal health. The project evaluated the nature of midwifery curriculum to determine whether a cultural component needed to be suggested as part of core curriculum to curtail the disparity.

Performed routine well woman exams and pre/postnatal care visits in an outpatient setting including preventative health education, routine prenatal education, contraception, menopause, and STIs. Obtained viral, bacterial and candidal cultures and performed Pap Smears, Doppler ultrasounds, Endometrial Biopsies, and assisted with Colposcopies. First assist on multiple surgeries including: robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomies, endometrial ablations, D&C’s, and vaginal and caesarian deliveries.
